Montana Homestead Dove-tail: The logs are flattened on one or two sides and "dove-tailed" on the ends. The gaps between the logs are filled with "backer-rod" insulation and chinking.
Full Scribe: The logs are saddle notched on the ends and "V" notched the entire length of the log so it fits tightly on the log below leaving no gaps. Upon assembly, the "V" notch is filled with insulation.
